We clamored up the sidewalk with the sun on our backs and wind caressing our faces, slowly making our way back to the office after a delicious group lunch. “Time to take our pictures! Let’s go let’s go!” hollered our beloved hygienist Samantha Quinn–today was the day our office got to have a little fun while showing our support for Red Nose Day.
We waltzed into the office, decked ourselves out in noses, glasses, and necklaces. We half posed, half partied while pictures were snapped–but wait–what exactly is Red Nose Day? Don’t worry, we wondered too.
For those of you who don’t know, Red Nose Day is a day dedicated to spreading awareness for children in need in the UK and Africa and is led by many well-known comedians, actors, and actresses. The name is based on the idea that Red Nose day should be a FUN-draiser, something to having fun with and make everyone happy. In the past, it has mostly been celebrated in the UK. More recently, however, the fundraiser has moved to the US–and even Seasons of Smiles in Camden, Maine! For more information and ways to donate click here.
Seasons of Smiles Dental is happy to spread a little Red Nose Day awareness and think that you too, should find yourself a red nose and share some joy! It’s a lot more fun than you might think 🙂
