Making smiles shine brighter than the stars
Every 38 minutes Make-A-Wish® Foundation grants the wish of a child diagnosed with a life-threatening medical condition in the United States and every five days; it is the wish of a Maine child. For the second year, Dr. Medina’s office was lucky to help out with Make a Wish.
Our office put together bags of goodies to help families with their oral health. Seventy-five toothbrushes for kids, teens, and adults, along with toothpaste and floss were bagged up and given to Dianne Winstanley O’Connell who works with Make-a-Wish. The foundation is celebrating its 25th year. Diane has been with them from the beginning, and we are excited to partner with her. When children are granted a wish that involves travel, families are given a goody bag from the “wish closet.” Diane stated that “it’s just one less thing for families to have to think about.”
