Local Jackie Kennedy Onassis’ Sporting the “Reusable Grocery Bag”

Jackie Onassis Rocking the Reusable Grocery Bags in Camden Rockland Rockport Maine

“So, how was your summer?” This is the question all students anticipate as they pack their bags and head on back to the life of stress and studies. Unlike most of my friends, I didn’t work at camp, stay at home, or travel the world; but, I did have just as much, if not more fun, than they did. I worked for my dad. Working at Seasons of Smiles is always an adventure — after all, we all know what a hoot Nellie Clark is. I spent my afternoons at the office and did a hodgepodge of random jobs like scanning, shredding, cleaning down operatories, and writing stuff for my dad’s website. And one of my favorites of all – finding office … Continue reading →

What is an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant?

Michelle illustrates Isolite (II)

What is an EFDA? Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) programs are designed to train Certified Dental Assistants and Registered Dental Hygienists in the art of Restorative Dentistry. Not all dental offices have a professional on staff with EFDA qualifications but we are very fortunate to have Michelle Webber at Seasons of Smiles Dental. She strives to make her patients as comfortable as possible. Her goal is for her patients to love their smile as much as she does and she goes the extra mile to ensure that outcome. The additional education attained enables EFDA’s to perform duties including direct patient care, which may be legally delegated by a licensed dentist. Even though Michelle does not require an assistant when completing restorative work, … Continue reading →

Bill Curtis has a Smile Makeover

Bill Curtis's new smile makeover at Seasons of Smiles Dental

When Bill Curtis was thirteen years old he was riding his bike near the General Henry Knox Museum at Montpelier in Thomaston, Maine. He crashed his bike and chipped his two front teeth in half.  By the time he was seen by a dentist it was too late so his two front teeth were removed and a flipper partial was put into place. Seven years later he had a permanent bridge placed by Dr. Gerald Pendleton DDS here in Camden Maine. Do you want to venture the cost on a 4 unit bridge back in 1970? A whopping $180! For the next forty-six years, that bridge held on. No decay and nothing broke on it. However, aesthetically the bridge needed help. Curious to see more … Continue reading →

Nemo 2013 – Camden, Rockland, Midcoast – Maine

Downtown Rockland Maine in the middle of Nemo blizzard

Cabin fever has set in and Lanita and I are dying to get out. We are in the middle of a classic Nor’Easter. They have given this blizzard a name, Nemo. Lanita and I jump in the Suburban and drive from Camden to Rockland Maine taking pictures. I kept thinking, this sure would be silly to get stuck or have a fender bender, just for the sake of a joy ride. Lanita has a positive outlook on life, pedal to the metal and all that, there was no keeping her home. As usual she is right, we had a blast sliding around!!! A few pictures to give you a small taste of what a nor-easter is like in midcoast Maine. … Continue reading →

Mobile Website

To better serve our patients, we now have our office website designed for mobile devices. We are told that in the fourth quarter of 2010, more smartphones were sold than PCs. There are now more cell phones out there accessing websites than desktops and laptops!  So if you’re on a mobile device, check us out at https://seasons-of-smiles.com. We would like to thank Matt Ide at The Local Search Company for all his help.  We love their company and all their services that they have provided for us at Seasons of Smiles Dental. … Continue reading →

Maine publisher shuts down 4 weeklies.

We at Seasons of Smiles Dental were saddened to hear about the closure of all Village NetMedia publications.  The Republican Journal was founded in 1829. The Courier-Gazette started in 1846 and the Camden Herald in 1870. The Bar Harbor Times is nearly 100 years old. The Capital Weekly was started after 1991. I just want to thank Village Soup for all that you did for our community.  As the years progressed we became big fans of Village Soup online.  Everything we posted was picked up by google.  It was a great platform to promote our products on the internet.  We never took the time to send you a thank you note, until now.  Our thoughts go out to all 56 … Continue reading →
