Documenting Employee Dental Temperature for Covid-19 Screening.

As we navigate through the COVID-19 virus, Seasons of Smiles Dental is committed to providing safe dental care and services for our patients.  We have designed new  Covid 19 guidelines at Seasons Smiles. By doing this, we are protecting our patients, staff, and community as a whole.  Our staff has been following the guidelines issued by the ADA and will continue to re-evaluate as new information becomes available. The new COVID 19 screening guidelines at Seasons of Smiles are outlined below.

Covid 19 Screening Process:

As a patient, you will first be screened for upcoming appointments during confirmation. A second screening will be conducted on the day of the appointment. The Covid 19 screening will include a series of questions which are:

  • Do you have a fever or have you felt hot or feverish recently (14-21 days)?
  • Are you having shortness of breath or other difficulties breathing?
  • Do you have a cough?
  • Any other flu-like symptoms, such as gastrointestinal upset, headache
  • or fatigue?
  • Have you experienced recent loss of taste or smell?
  • Have you been in contact with any confirmed COVID-19 positive patients?
  • Patients who are well but who have a sick family member at home with COVID-19 should consider postponing elective treatment
  • Is your/their age over 60?
  • Do you have heart disease, lung disease, kidney disease, diabetes or any auto-immune disorders?
  • Have you traveled in the past 14 days to any regions affected by COVID-19 ?

*** Temperatures will also be taken on the day of the appointment.
These questions will help us determine if we should reappoint your treatment.

Office changes

We have made the decision to temporarily close off our waiting room for extra precaution.  By doing this, we are hoping to follow the social distancing recommendation.   We ask that you call our office upon arrival.and remain in your vehicle or wait outside of the office until our staff is ready to do the screening. We will either call you or come to your vehicle to alert you.
As recommended by the ADA, we will be allowing a limited number of patients in the office at a time.   So, we ask that only the appointed patient enter the building. Some exceptions to this would include children that need parental consent and/or assistance and disabled  or elderly patients that may need extra assistance.  We have also established a protective barrier for the front desk and ask that you to kindly observe stay behind the barrier. This not only protects our staff but you as well.
Our staff will be using ADA recommended personal protection equipment or PPE to ensure the safety of our patients and staff. While it may look different than what you are used to seeing, it is necessary . Along with the PPE, our office will be using HEPA filtration units to purify the air.    This, along with the universal precautions we have always used, will provide a clean dental environment.
The  COVID-19 pandemic has caused a lot of uncertainty but we are doing our best to stay informed.  Our staff is following current, science based evidence from the CDC , our state officials and governing dental boards. Our new COVID 19  guidelines at Seasons of Smiles are based on that information. We aim to follow the guidelines and recommendations as best as we can.   If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the office. at 207-236-4740 or https://www.seasons-of-smiles.com/

  1. We have also a big poster on the groundfloor of our company. It helps a lot with the communication to all the employees.
